How do they work? They operate in a very similar way to French doors: the upper sash is the "master", which can be closed or opened as required. The lower sash is the "slave" with floating mullion, which can only be opened when the Master is open. |

A shoot bolt provides security for the slave, while the master has an Espagnolette. You may prefer the utility of operating both sashes to leave an uninterrupted and open area.
